Diverzion, extends is sincere condolences to the friends & family of the late Juan Claude, who's life was ended prematurely on Thursday 2nd April 2009. Nearly a year to the month of Junior Spence's death, in May last year.
Juan Claude, we were lucky enough to have met at & outside of a number of parties and as his picture shows, he was always smiling, he had one of those personalities. Diverzion will be organizing a memorial in his name, just as soon as a location can be arranged, this will be an opportunity for all friends (family) welcome too, to come along, reflect, talk & decide what can be done collectively - to pay respects.
As we understand it, the Police have the perpetrator in custody and appeal to anyone, anyone who has any information which lead up to the events that culminated in Juan Claude's death. Please contact Reading Police Station, as we need to put a STOP to the slaying's of teenagers on Reading's streets.
We propose to launch a campaign for youth in Reading, hopefully by youth in Reading, but it requires your support "Not On My Watch" stands for looking out for your friends; if they are in bother, which has the potential to escalate, if they are carrying a weapon, if they are dealing, if they are gang members (& you are not), if they are likely to commit a crime & you know about.
"Not On My Watch" signifies that you, in Juan Claude's name, in Junior Spence's name & in the name of all your best friends, crew, G's, will not allow it to happen, that you will do all you can to defuse the situation, not get involved in violence and definitely NOT turn a blind eye & help, save your friend.
Give us some feedback, let's look out for one-another otherwise there will be another death on our streets, nearer to home.
